The Gonzo Republic is a four piece alternate rock band from Durban, South Africa. The Gonzo Republic is a hybrid version of all the dirty rocking groove bands you can think of, however, all the members in the band nurtured alternate musical tastes in their formative years, including jazz and funk, not to mention the usual obsession with rock and all its denominations. The band transports you to a place where bills, crime, bosses and fights do not exist. In the Republic of Gonzo, all you’ll want to do is dance.
