Rachel Colenso is one of the most extraordinary female adventurers in the world and was a 'Super Human' in the recent Channel 4 television series. She is one of only four women on earth to have completed the rigorous British SAS selection process. In addition, she organizes and leads expeditions climbing and mountaineering in remote locations across the world.
Rachel Colenso hit the headlines in October 2003 when she was stranded in a blizzard in the Swiss Alps. She was rescued by helicopter after raising the alarm by texting a friend in London. Rachel spent two nights on a mountain ledge at just under 10,000 feet after a blizzard set in on Piz Badile. Rachel Colenso was a competitor in Channel 4's Superhuman programme aired in 2004. The programme identified the most intelligent, fearless and attractive people in Britain!
