Irvan Damon

Irvan Damon is the co-creator and partner in Carbon d’ Afreeque, an eco-entrepreneurship venture, specialising in recycling and repurposing reclaimed advertising billboards. He also holds an MASocSci (UCT Environmental Policymaking), a Petroleum Policy Eco Dipl (Wits Business School) and an MPhilEng from UCT (EDRC open thesis). Irvan also launched Greendrinks in Gauteng, a green network that meets monthly to exchange views around issues affecting our planet on a local and international level. In addition, he also contributes to a green column in Men’s Health Living magazine, “Green Guy”. He is the creator, co-host and executive producer of Hybrid Living. The recent recipient of a Green Media Award from JHB City Parks, this eco-lifestyle TV (SABC3) property showcases how you can still live a green life without having to give up the earth. Furthermore, he also produces and hosts an eco-lifestyle insert, “Eco-Brother”, on 5FM. Lastly, he believes in a full life of sustained experiences based on informed consuming habits that are more conscious of the earth’s needs, without having to compromise on style, substance and quality along the way.
