Cross Town Traffic is a nostalgic rollercoaster ride through time to the soundtrack of a five-piece live band that prides itself on good music and an energy-filled performance.
Formed in 2004, the players have gained extensive experience by being a permanent fixture on the local live music circuit as an original band and from years spent doing various theatre productions. This is immediately evident in their vibrant stage performance, and audiences are hard-pressed to resist tapping a foot or singing along to the timeless tunes they bring back to life. Predominantly playing old school classics, the band swings seamlessly through genres and eras to present a smorgasbord of rock, funk, soul and dance along with the ever-essential sprinkling of contemporary African sounds. From Standard Bank and ABSA Bank; to British-American Tobacco and South African Breweries, events have been brought to life by Cross Town Traffic’s contagious stage presence and vibrant show.
