Ash was born and bred in Gauteng. He began dancing and performing at the age of 8, which put him in great demand as a rare breed. He danced in numerous shows throughout his school days and was a firm favourite as the leading male in many dramatic productions.
He then studied television and radio broadcasting at Damelin College and during his studies was recruited for the stage musical Fame. Since then his performance career has rocketed. He has appeared in countless musicals and stage shows ranging from African Footprint, Chicago, Goldilocks, We Will Rock You, Thoroughly Modern Millie, Peter Pan to the role of Richie Valens in the Buddy Holly Story. His work has taken him all over the world performing for international audiences as well as local.
Recently Ash has been publicly voted one of South Africa’s top dancers by making it through to the final three of the SABC 1 hit show “So you think you can dance”. This platform allowed Ash to show his comedic and highly entertaining routines. Ash brings new levels of performance in dance with his strong dramatic background.
