In March 2001, Tim Modise was awarded the prestigious "Reconciliation Award" by the Institute for Justice and Reconciliation for his contribution in South Africa and last year (2003) the James Brunet Prize for the Promotion of Human Rights. He has been involved in broadcasting since 1980, having worked in various capacities in diverse radio stations. He is also a political analyst for Institutional Investors. He has hosted a number of talk and current affairs show on SAfm Radio and SABC TV and now hosts 702/Cape Talk's morning show, Monday to Friday. He is a co-anchor on M-Net's award-winning Sunday evening programme, "Carte Blanche". Modise is the Chairman of Proudly South African and he holds a Marketing Management Certificate and a Diploma in Financial Management. He received the Rotary Award for community Service in 1999 and was the Financial Mail runner-up political analyst of the year 1999/2000. He has also been the GQ Magazine's readers' choice for "Best TV and Radio Presenter of the Year and the recipient of the "Presidents' Award" from IPM as well as the "Communicator of the Year" from Technikon Pretoria. He also received the Paul Harris Award from Rotary. He is Business and the community's first choice when they are looking for an MC, debate chairperson, speaker or issue moderator.
